Oil sludge
waste stabilization and solidification unit is a customized system to improve
pollutant retention and give the material obtained a certain structural
durability. Their objective is thus not to achieve a simple cladding of the
contaminated material in an inert matrix, but a complex physical-chemical
process to obtain stabilization and solidification of the pollutants.

Why use stabilization
and solidification unit for oil sludge waste?

Oil sludge
waste come from different ways, like drilling waste storage tank/ pit/ lagoon,
tank bottom cleaning, cuttings separated from drilling waste management system,
solids control system, etc. The oil sludge waste should be proper disposal to
prevent the destroy of environment. The trend of drilling is no-pit drilling in
the future along with the much more strict environmental laws in most of the
countries, which is combination of drilling mud solids control system plus
cuttings transferring system, drilling cuttings treatment system, cuttings
disposal system. GN customized designed cuttings solidification/ stabilization
unit and TDU( thermal desorption unit) are both cuttings disposal methods.

Working process of GN stabilization/
solidification unit:

(1)Oil
sludge waste collection hopper collects all the drill cuttings & oil sludge
waste, transported to the mixing chamber by the screw conveyor.
2) Cement storage box is keeping cements powder, through the tubular screw
conveyor, powders are sent to the mixer at pre-set capacity.
3) In the same way, absorber is kept in a box, then sent to the mixer by tubular
screw conveyor.
4) The high-shear mixer mixes all the material, and push to the front at the
same time.

Drilling Cuttings Solidification Unit for Waste Disposal

The solidification unit and thermal desorption unit,
as one of the most efficient and economic drilling waste disposal method, has
been widely required by drilling waste management companies. GN new developed solidification
unit has been shipped to domestic client for no-pit drilling together with our
hi-G dryer system.

We have developed different customized drilling waste
management system for both water based drilling cuttings and oil based mud
& synthetic based mud.

But the cuttings discharged from the vertical cuttings

land application or burial approaches. That is why GN will develop our own solidification
unit and thermal desorption unit to provide our clients a complete drilling

Shale shaker for Mineral Dressing

GNZS706E
double deck shale shaker has been widely used for mineral dressing/ ore
separation project, for example, gold recovery. We use different mesh screen to
separate different required ore size, normally the top screen is 3mm opening steel plate screen( or polyurethane material screen for
longer service life) to separate the big solids bigger than 3mm, it can protect
the bottom screen and make the working time longer. The bottom screen is customized,
because different minerals will need to separate different size ore.

GNZS706E double deck shale shaker specifications:

Total screen area 4.66m2( 52.5 ft2), top screen area 2.03m2(24.2ft2)
with 3 panels screen, bottom screen area 2.63 m2(28.3 ft2) with 3 panels screen,
up to 7.0G( adjustable), linear motion shale shaker. The Max treating capacity

Mineral
engineering, mineral processing, or mineral dressing or ore dressing, is the
process of separating commercially valuable minerals from their ores. The simplest sizing process is
screening, or passing the particles to be sized through a screen or number of
screens.

GN solids control also provide a solution to put the hydrocyclones on top of the double deck
shale shaker, as a simple/ compact desanding unit. The working principal is
different with the double deck shale shaker. When worked as a double deck shale
shaker, the material is feeding to the buffer box and flow to the top screen to
separate course ore, and drop down to the bottom screen to separate the required
size.

When
working as a desanding unit with the hydrocyclones, which is used to separate
more fine solids. The material is feeding to the bottom screen to separate
course size then use a centrifugal pump for feeding to the desander cone, to
separate solids bigger than 75 microns, the top screen function for drying the
separated solids size and recycle more fluids.

Invert drilling mud decanter centrifuge

can be applied to both oil based mud and invert drilling fluids, and
water based drilling fluids and Synthetic Based mud.

INVERT
drilling fluids are generally used where drilling problems not easily handled
by water-based fluids are expected, or in situations where the invert drilling

increased borehole stability.

TBM Slurry Separation Plant with Polymer Mixing Unit

GN solids control specialized
at customized TBM slurry separation plant with polymer mixing and dosing unit
as a complete system, the polymer mixing unit is applied for polymer flocculant
mixing and feeding to the dewatering centrifuge to get the water as clean as
possible, to separate more fine solids under 5 microns.

TBM
is the short name for Tunneling Boring Machine, Tunnels of less than a metre or
so in diameter are typically done using trenchless construction methods or
horizontal directional drilling rather than TBMs.

We
ever designed a containerized dewatering unit for Tunneling project with the
same application, the main purpose is to get clean water, and dry solids for
disposal. The polymer mixing unit can be installed inside the container
together with GN big bowl decanter centrifuge, by this way, it is convenient
for movement, also it can be located on the skid without standard shipping
container for cooling and easy maintenance, also the cost is much cheaper. We
can make it customized to meet the client’s requirement.

There
are 3 parts in the TBM slurry separation plant: Solids removal unit, polymer
mixing and dosing unit, dewatering unit with dewatering centrifuge. We provide

Screw conveyor for zero discharge system of drilling waste management

Screw
conveyor
is widely used for oil & gas drilling zero discharge drilling
waste management system, the purpose is to collect and move semi-solids
materials, so you can save a lot of labors and more efficient to deal with the
drilling cuttings which should be cleaned and handling before discharge.

Installation
of screw conveyor in the drilling waste management system:

Normally
it is installed horizontally and at a slight incline which is supported by a
customized steel frame according to the distance to the vertical cuttings
dryer, but the angle is normally less than 45 degree. Too incline angle will
influence the moving efficiency of the screw conveyor.

Structure
of Screw conveyor

It
consists of a trough or tube containing either a spiral blade coiled around a
shaft, driven at one end and held at the other, or a “shaftless
spiral”, driven at one end and free at the other. Variable frequency
electric motor can be used to provide a variable speed, which is for the
different drilling cuttings conditions and required moving rate.

The
solids discharge end could be customized design according to the rigsite’s
layout, side discharge or bottom discharge.

There
is hopper opening screw conveyor which is usually used to collect the cuttings
from the shale shaker, desander, desilter, decanter centrifuge. And others are
closed cover screw conveyor, and outside the U-type trough, you can choose with
the frame support or without.

We have screw diameter of 12inch, 14inch,
16inch, 18 inch for option, and the screw conveyor length is divided to
different sections, each section is connected by the bearings, each section is
standard 12ft, you can choose 2 section( 24ft), 3 sections (36ft) or 4
sections(48ft).

Auger
is developed as a traditional drill cuttings transferring method, more and more
people choose cuttings pump or vacuum unit to replace it.

Mine waste water / sludge separation system

A
lot of waste water is produced together with sludge during the process of
mining exploration. More and more countries turn to or already enact more
strict laws for the drill cuttings/ mine water treatment, to oblige the
drilling contractors to be more cautious of the issue of waste treatment and waste
water drain off.
