There are 2 ways to treat the drilling mud, chemical treatment and mechanical treatment. Chemical treatment usually works together with mechanical treatment. Chemical treatment is to use chemical material to add into the drilling mud to get the ideal result.

Mechanical treatment is to use the 4-phase mud cleaning equipments , including shale shaker, desander, desilter, decanter centrifuge to separate large solids from the mud and keep the mud balance. If finally after centrifuge treatment, the mud will not be recycled and re-used, they may continue to use chemical treatment to get clean water and solids, the water will be drain off to the river and the solids will be used for cementing factory. GN solids control is the professional manufacturer and designer for the mechanical treatment system for the drilling mud.
