GN Oil Drilling Solids Control Equipment

Centrifugal pump is a rotodynamic pump that uses a rotating impeller to increase the pressure and flow rate of a fluid. Centrifugal pumps are the most common type of pump used to move liquids through a piping system.

It is widely used in oilfield drilling mud system, as trip pump, measurement pump, charging pump, mixing pump, feeding pump. It can be used together with mixing hopper as a mixing unit, with trip tank as a trip pump/measurement pump, with mud pump as charging pump for mud pump, or as a transfer pump. It is ideal choice for drilling fluids transfer.

Mud cleaner is a combination of desanders and/or desilters mounted over a shaker with a fine mesh screen.

The drilling mud is fed to the inlet of the desander cone, the coarse particle and fine particles are separated by different centrifugal force, the particles larger than 70 microns are separated and fine particles remained in the drilling fluids and dropped into the mud tank.

The feeding pump of desilter cone fed the mud to desilter cone, then particles larger than 20 microns are separated.

The coarse solids are dropped on the shaker screens for dry and some clean drilling fluids are recycled and solids are separated, maybe collected by screw conveyor to the drilling waste management system.

In oil & gas drilling, positive displacement pump is used to feed for decanter centrifuge, Nemo pump is one of the best feeding pump for GN decanter centrifuge.

We can provide centrifuge with various Nemo pump according to client’s requirement, for example, stainless steel 304 or SS316L material, manual speed control, variable frequency drive or fix speed pump, flow rate various from 20m3/h to 90m3/h for various model decanter centrifuge. All the pump motor is explosion proof and with a speed reducer for steadily running.

As an expensive and significant material for drilling fluids, it is necessary to recover it from the used drilling fluids. Usually we use barite recovery centrifuge to recycle barite, together with a high speed centrifuge as a barite recovery unit.

Contaminants in barite, such as cement, siderite, pyrrhotite, gypsum and anhydrite, can cause problems in certain mud systems and should be evaluated in any quality assurance program for drilling-mud additives.

For GNLW363VFD decanter centrifuge, when control the speed 1500~1800rpm, it can be used for recycling barite.

is a brand belongs to NOV(National Oilwell Varco). Magnum is an important series of Mission pump. The Magnum has an open impeller design that contains wide-tipped vanes and a more tangential circumference of the suction allowing the pump to create a smoother flow pattern when handling abrasive fluids.GN centrifugal pump is same with Mission 2500 series centrifugal pump, the spare parts can be replaceable, and installation dimension is same.

The mud recycler is shipped to Malaysia for recycling drilling mud. It consists of 2 GNPS703 balanced elliptical motion shale shaker, 1ea 1000gpm mud cleaner with 2 desander cone and 12 desilter cone and 1ea GNPS703 shale shaker, the treating capacity of the mud recycler is 1000 gallons per minute. There is a mud mixing hopper and a 6×5 centrifugal pump to drive it. Mud tank attachments including walkway, hand rail, clean gate, butterfly valve, pipelines, stairs, control cabinet, etc.

GN has 3 sets of 1500HP oil drilling rig package for sale, they are located in Beijing warehouse. Each complete set of rig package including: Rig, mud pump, mud tank system, solids control equipments(Derrick) and generators.

The mud tank system including 7 mud tanks for each set,total capacity is 2800bbl, 3 sets totally 8400bbl capacity.

The solids control equipments are Derrick brand, FLC2000 series. They are brand new, just the project is delayed because of some reason, we need to sold them with best discount right now. When the project is re-start, we will make new ones for them.

Hydrocyclone is a device to separate solids and liquids. In oilfield industry, it devided into desander hydrocyclone and desilter hydrocyclone.

Desander cone is 10” cone, it can separate 45 ~76 microns solids, desilter cone is 4” usually, it can separate 20~45 microns. Solids control equipments manufacturers use different desander cone and desilter cone qty to assembly different treating capacity mud cleaner. So mud cleaner is composed of desander cone, desilter cone and shale shaker.  

Fuel tank is used for storage of oil in the rig site, to supply fuel energy for generator or other application in the rig. GN designed fuel tank is with compact structure, reliable function and customized size and color. See the attached photo, it is a fuel tank designed by GN.

The construction of fuel tank is with high standard, it must be filled in a secure way, without sparks, and avoid leakage and limit evaporative emissions.

Hydraulic lifting device, you do not need a crane in the site, you only use the hydraulic device to lift the mud tank first, then drive the truck on top of the tank, then lower down the lifting device, by this way, you can transport the mud tank easily without rent a crane.
