GN Solids 750HP Workover Rig Solids Control System for China Oilfield Service Company

In response to the increasing demand for efficient and adaptable solids control systems in workover operations, GN Solids Control has successfully provided a fully customized solution to a major oilfield service company in China. This delivery demonstrates GN’s capabilities in designing and manufacturing complete systems tailored to specific rig requirements — in this case, for a 750HP workover rig.

The delivered system comprises a comprehensive set of solids control equipment and support components that ensure continuous fluid processing during rig operations:
Custom Mud Tank System
At the core of the solution is a specially fabricated mud tank with designated compartments for solids removal, mud mixing, and clean fluid storage. Designed to endure tough oilfield conditions, the tank also serves as the structural base for all solids control units and includes full electrical integration.

Dual GNZS594K Shale Shakers
To meet the processing demands of the workover rig, GN supplied two units of its GNZS594K linear motion shale shakers. These are high-capacity shakers equipped with durable composite screens and a high G-force vibration mechanism, ensuring fast removal of coarse solids from drilling fluids.

GNZS594K-2S12NK Mud Cleaner
To enhance separation efficiency, the system integrates a compact mud cleaner that combines 2 desander cones and 12 desilter cones over the same shaker model. This configuration delivers efficient multi-stage separation, crucial for maintaining the quality of re-used mud.

GNLW452D Medium-Speed Decanter Centrifuge
The centrifuge plays a vital role in fine solids removal. GN’s GNLW452D is engineered with precision balancing and VFD control, allowing operators to adjust bowl speed for optimal performance. It efficiently removes silt and fine particles, maintaining the integrity of the drilling fluid system.

Supporting Equipment
The package is rounded out with GN-manufactured centrifugal pumps, mud agitators, mud hoppers, and a complete electrical control unit. These auxiliary systems are essential for consistent mud circulation, chemical mixing, and reliable system control.

GN Solids Control’s engineering team worked closely with the client to ensure every detail — from layout to component sizing — aligned with field needs. By offering both standard modules and fully customized packages, GN reinforces its position as a flexible and responsive solids control equipment provider.

This project reflects GN’s commitment to delivering not just equipment, but solutions — engineered to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure environmental compliance in oilfield operations.
